Youth Empowerment & Leadership Development

Youth Empowerment & Leadership Development

“Youth are not the generation of tomorrow, they are the generation of today!” John C. Maxwell

As a certified John Maxwell speaker and trainer, I have access to curriculum developed specifically for youth that sets them up for success. A description of each program is outlined below.

Global Youth Initiative

Today’s youth face many challenges – struggles with confidence, fear of failure, and bullying. As parents, teachers, and leaders, we can do something about it! You and your youth are invited to participate in a world-changing youth movement that will empower our kids to be the change they wish to see in the world!

During April and October of 2017, youth leadership events were hosted all over the world. John Maxwell Team members hosted 465,000 youth at nearly 2,000 events in 52 countries. Youth who attended these events were equipped, inspired, and empowered to have a positive self-image, respect themselves and others, be a positive influence, and fail forward toward success. The events were FREE and open to all children and youth groups, ages 8-18.

The Global Youth Initiative continues inspire change and initiate transformation in communities across the globe. Do you want to be a part of the movement? Join JMT Members like you and start adding value to youth in your community right now!

Youth Impact Exploratory Report

Participants of a youth training have access to complete a preliminary DISC profile assessment designed specifically for youth.  This assessment will provide a high level assessment of the youth’s most dominant personality style, providing them with information they can use to understand their strengths as well as understand areas where they may need to focus their development.   This report will also provide possible career paths that align with their personality style.  Contact me for more information.

iLead Youth Leadership Values Program

iLead was designed to provide students with an environment for leadership values to be introduced, practiced, and shared. John Maxwell has partnered with educational institutions around the world to produce this program and reverse the negative portrayal of leadership. This program offers a desirable portrait of leadership based on values that can be applicable to a student’s life — values that teenagers can admire, implement, and choose to aspire to for a more positive and sustained style of leadership.

The goal is for youth to facilitate the content among their friends and peers. Together, they can learn to appreciate the values of leadership while learning to value themselves and others.

This program has been funded by the John Maxwell Leadership Foundation and is available at no charge.*

Year 1: iChoose

iChoose is the first curriculum available and is comprised of 16 lessons spread out over four units with the goal of helping teenagers learn leadership values and teaching them how to apply them to their own lives from leadership expert John C. Maxwell.

These values are recognized by some of the largest and most successful companies in the world. iChoose was designed to provide students with an environment for leadership values to be introduced, practiced, and shared.

Because many of today’s teenagers equate leadership with position, abuse of power, bribery, and corruption, few young people have a healthy and correct understanding of what leadership is and how they can apply it to their lives and the lives of others. John C. Maxwell has partnered with educational institutions around the world to produce this program and reverse the negative portrayal of leadership. This program offers a desirable portrait of leadership based on values that can be applicable to a student’s life — values that teenagers can admire, implement, and choose to aspire to for a more positive and sustained style of leadership.

THIS PROGRAM HAS BEEN DESIGNED TO HELP STUDENTS ACCOMPLISH FIVE GOALS:
1. Identify with the 16 values of leadership
2. Take ownership of their choices
3. Practice leadership values and develop those skills
4. Evaluate themselves with their applied knowledge
5. Take turns guiding small group discussions

The following values are discussed within the following units:

  • Unit 1: Choices, Growth, Attitude, Commitment
  • Unit 2: Relationships, Character, Forgiveness and Self-Worth
  • Unit 3: Responsibility, Courage, Initiative, Priorities
  • Unit 4: Teachability, Self-Discipline, Resilience, Influence

YouthMAX

YouthMAX is a youth empowerment program focused on four key topics:

  • Stand Up & Be Counted (Stop Bullying),

  • Developing a Positive Self-Image and
  • Developing a Strong Personal Character

Sometimes you Win, Sometimes you Learn Teens

“Life is full of ups and downs. But any setback – a champion-ship defeat, a bad grade, a lost relationship, or a botched audition – can become a step forward when you posses the right tools to learn from that experience.” John C. Maxwell

What could a hugely successful author, speaker, and coach possibly know about losing?

For over 50 years, Dr. John C. Maxwell has lived life, started businesses, mentored thousands of leaders, and through it all, he has won big and learned even bigger lessons. John takes the reader on a well worn path in the pursuit of raw leadership by examining what every human has in common; those experiences we can all say, “I have been there.” Every one of us has experienced a disappointing loss in our own personal growth or leadership. How we have responded to those mistakes, errors, slips in judgment or just plain missing the goal has formed us even now. No bad experience has to ultimately defeat us. This book helps light the path to a more fulfilling life by examining loss, not from measuring what one does not have, but how loss can bring abundance. Every negative event or loss that occurs can become a great learning opportunity to take us all the newer and greater heights in our own lives.
